RADAR TRAFFIC COUNTERS

DCD Systems’ range of Radar Traffic Counters use radar technology to provide non-invasive counting and classification. Radar counters require no tubes and everything can be set up from the side of the road.

We have three models to choose from: the SR4, SR6 and SR6-Bike. All models come standard with mounting hardware, battery, charger and analysis software and can be mains or solar powered. Each data record captures date, time, length, speed in KM/H, headway gap and direction. From this information, vehicles are classified into different (bin-class) categories based on their size.

SR4 - Bluetooth

Our standard model - SR4 - is mounted to any existing 60-120mm pole and can be installed by one person requiring no road closures, no permits, no tubes and no OH&S issues... easy! Simply attach the enclosure, connect the battery, verify alignment through Bluetooth and you're away.

Once the data has been collected it can be retrieved by Bluetooth and evaluated using the supplied analysis software. Examining data is fast and simple and can be easily configured for management reports. Traffic engineers can either use the provided diagrams and reports or export the raw information to Microsoft Excel for further analysis.

SR6 - GPS/GPRS

For more permanent installations, we recommend the GPS/GPRS enabled SR6 radar traffic counter. Like the SR4, the SR6 is completely non-invasive and can be powered by a rechargeable battery, mains or solar power.  The big difference is that the SR6 can be monitored live from the comfort of your desk and accessed remotely over the internet - perfect for more permanent installations! All data is uploaded to a secure SQL web server and accessed through the SR.net portal - your one-stop location to view, process and analyse your traffic data.
