RADAR BICYCLE COUNTERS

DCD Systems’ Radar Bicycle Counters use radar technology to provide non-invasive bicycle counting. The radar device’s inconspicuous appearance allows it to record bicycles without affecting the normal flow of traffic. The SR6-Bike is equipped with GPS/GPRS which allows users to view the actual location of the counter and access their data 24 hours a day.  The radar is powered by a 12V battery and solar power options are available.

The SR6-Bike counter is a motion detection tool that records volume, speed and direction. The data is recorded on a per bicycle basis: date, time, bicycle speed in KM/H and travel direction.

After storing bicycle records in local memory, the counter uploads all the data to a secure SQL web server and is accessed through the SR.net portal. It can then be checked online or exported to Sierzega’s analysis program or MS Excel. The standard analysis suite – SRBV2 – is a simple but powerful package that allows the user to quickly and easily evaluate the data.
